November 2017 Events

Oyster Party!  Sunday, November 12th, 11 to 4ish…

This Sunday, the Slough Crew will once again be grilling and shucking in the Slough Food Courtyard.  Toppings and mignonette will be different than the photo (these were from the October party), but  KJ will be recreating her killer Clam Chowder again.  And I might get more Kushi this time – they were exceptionally good.


Create a Holiday Cheese Board, Friday, November 17th, 6:30 to 8pm

Slough Food is teaming up with Rhonda Gothberg, of Gothberg Farms, Friday evening 6:30 to 8pm, November 17th.  We will be showing how easy, and fun, it is to create a cheese board, whether you’re entertaining two or ten people.  Cost:  $25 per person.  Space is very limited for this event, and signing up is required.


Paella Party!  Saturday, November 18th, 11 to 4ish…

Normally our Paella Parties run May through September, but we’ve had many requests to continue them year-round.  Knut Christiansen, of, has given us the green light for Paella on November 18th, in the Slough Food Courtyard.  And please note:  our summer Paella Parties were held on Sundays, but this event is on Saturday.

Knut will be creating three batches throughout the day, and fifteen dollars buys you a plateful of this famous Spanish dish.  Slough Food will have our normal menu available, wines by the glass or bottle, and housemade Sangria.  No reservations necessary, unless you have a party of six or more, then please let us know so we can try and sit you together.





Oyster Parties Begin…

The Slough Crew is kicking off the Oyster Season this Sunday, October 15th in the Slough Food Courtyard!

Samish Pacific Oysters will be grilled with choice of select toppings, and your choice of Shigoku, Kumamoto, or Kushi, will be shucked raw and served with house mignonette.

The soup:  Clam Chowder!

Drink up:  Oyster friendly wines by the glass or bottle, and Skagit’s Farmstrong Brewing Northwest Ale is on tap.


Shucking begins at 11am and we usually sell out by 4…

No reservations necessary.  Get to Edison and help celebrate the start of Oyster Season!

And save the date:  We have decided (because the people demand it!) that we will continue Paella Parties beyond the summer season.  Therefore, a Paella Party, Saturday, November 18th, in the Slough Food Courtyard…



Last Paella Party 2017!

Last Paella Party 2017!  We begin our monthly Oyster Parties, grilled and raw, starting in October…

Sunday, September 24th, from noonish to fourish, will be in the Slough Food Courtyard creating this famous Spanish seafood rice dish.

We have Kulshan’s ‘Summer’ Sunnyland IPA on tap, and we will have a big batch of our housemade Sangria.


Double Event Week! Kulshan and Paella

We’ve got two events happening this week!

This Friday, August 4th, from 5 till 8pm, Bellingham’s famous Kulshan Brewing will be in the Slough Food Courtyard.  Their summer Sunnyland IPA will be on tap, with porter, lager, pale ale and bastard kat available by the can.

Also, we are now serving their 22oz bottles of Gose:  “A little salty, a little tart, a true product of simple resources available to the brewers of early 16th century Goslar, Germany. This refreshing ale has subtle salinity and spicy coriander to balance it’s tartness with playfully layered fruity aromas of lemon and pear.” – from the Kulshan website.

And if you’re lucky, you might get a hat…

The second event of the week:  Paella Party!  Sunday, August 6th, noonish to fourish.

We will have one more paella party this season (September 24th) but it will likely not be as sunny and warm as it is going to be this Sunday.

Fifteen dollars buys you a generous plateful of this famous Spanish dish. will be creating four unique batches throughout the day.  No reservations necessary, unless you have a party of six or more.

Kulshan Sunnyland IPA on tap, and housemade Sangria will keep you cool.

July 2017 Paella

Our Summer Paella Parties continue Sunday, July 23rd in our lovely sloughside courtyard.

Knut, of, will be creating four batches of the famous Spanish seafood dish from noonish to fourish.  Slough Food will have our normal menu available, plus housemade Sangria, and Kulshan’s Sunnyland IPA on tap.


Kulshan Beer Party!

Friday, June 23, 5 to 8 pm in the Slough Food Courtyard.  Kulshan Brewing will be here kicking off our summer season, and our extended summer hours – open till 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Mothers Day Paella!

Happy Mothers Day!!!

Knut, of, will kick off our 2017 Paella Season this Sunday, May 14th.

At least three batches of paella will be served between noonish and threeish, and fourteen dollars gets you a plateful of this famous Spanish dish – unless you are a mother, then Knut is treating you!  Kulshan IPA is on tap, paella friendly wines available by the glass or bottle, and we made a batch of Sangria.
